My busy sometimes co-blogger Peter writes:


"I was just reading about the company "Wikia," which is owned by Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales. Interestingly, he #2 most active wiki is an academic jobs info wiki:

(The most active wiki is lostpedia, the wiki about the TV Series LOST)

Jimmy Wales doesn't "own" Wikia, Inc. There's $14 million invested in it by various venture capitalists and Amazon. Do you really think Jimmy Wales has anything more than a continuing small minority stake in the company?
